Last night a good friend posted on Facebook that she was “kind of addicted” to the Olympics.
We should start a support group.
But she did mention a rather unique obsession — the athletes’ nail art.
I’ve noticed that, too — specifically on the swimmers. We’re not just talking red-white-and-blue, or gold-silver-and-bronze color palettes; that would be kid stuff in London.
No, these athletes are sporting their country’s flags or the London 2012 logo in intricate, painstaking detail.
I have to admit, though — I assumed these too-cool nails were manufactured, stick-ons or polishes like the ones I have seen in stores lately. I couldn’t imagine someone doing them by hand, or the athletes sitting still for it.
Nailed it

Well, what do I know?
