I auditioned for a web video today.
The role was “angry cashier.”
It was a real character part…and lots of fun to do.
The casting director was also seeing men for another role. But they didn’t get a script to review like me. Instead, they were simply told as they entered the waiting area:
Remove your shirt.
I have never been so happy to be a woman!
Did you re-watch “You’ve Got Mail” and base your character on the angry cashier (pre Grey’s Anatomy Sara Ramirez) Tom Hanks charmed into letting Meg’s card get swiped in the cash only line? If not, ti’s a great excuse to pop that bond-able film in and compare performances. Good luck!
