When it comes to pizza, I am as old school as it comes.
And if we’re talking a second topping?
More pepperoni. Never found another topping that (sorry) topped it.
But on today, National Pizza Day, even I admit that a more spectacular pie may be in order. So, I present to you —
The William and Kate
Knife and fork required. Curtsy before you chew.

When I shared yesterday’s post on Chateauform Schloss Löwenstein — my castle-hotel near Frankfurt that evokes Downton Abbey — my sister asked, “Have you seen a Matthew look-a-like?”
But there is a prince living here.
Alois Konstantin is the ninth Prince of Löwenstein. He and his wife Anastasia, Princess of Prussia, occupy one wing of the castle.
The Prince works in the financial services industry in Frankfurt and manages the family’s assets.
And while I have not seen him during my stay, I must say —
Doesn’t he look a bit like Mr. Carson?

I’m pretty excited about the Royal Baby.
I like Kate. I like William, too. And I just know that baby is gonna be a charmer.
Even if he/she is giving his/her mom a serious case of morning sickness right now — bad enough to send her to the hospital, no less.
But what fun it will be once that baby makes an appearance! I can already imagine the photos of him/her, rolling around on the lawn with their cocker spaniel Lupo.
The only possible negative?
Any celebrities birthing babies around the same time. Sorry, folks — the Royal Baby is gonna steal the spotlight on both sides of the drink.

Colin Firth has been called a prince on several occasions.
Last night, he got a chance to showcase his skills.
As last year’s BAFTRA Best Actor Award winner for The King’s Speech, he was called upon to present the 2012 Best Actress BAFTRA Award at last night’s ceremony. (I watched the festivities on DVR this morning during breakfast.)
Meryl Streep won for The Iron Lady, but the events that followed prove that winning ain’t always easy.
As Streep started walking toward the stage, she realized she had brought her purse, so she quickly shoved it into the hands of a woman on the aisle. Then — in a Cinderella moment that couldn’t have been scripted — Streep left a shoe on the stage steps.
Thinking on his feet, Firth rescued her pump, knelt before the newly crowned Best Actress, and put it back on.
He was rewarded with a kiss.
Streep was thoughtful and gracious in her remarks, but I wasn’t really paying attention. We had just witnessed this spontaneous, movie-like moment.
Her speech was simply the credits.
