Excited to see Kansas City highlighted in this Citi commercial that just aired during The Open on NBC:
Just one of the many great things happening in this little big city!

Now that Wimbledon has ended, I am suffering from my annual melancholy.
What did I watch before it was on ESPN for two solid weeks?
What did I talk about?
What did I obsess about on social media?
Sigh.
Luckily, this year The Open begins this Thursday at St. Andrews in Scotland.
It’s on ESPN, too. Coverage starts at 4:00am daily.
All the experts are picking 21-year old American Jordan Speith to win his third major of the year.
Yeah… I can totally obsess about that.

Leftovers
I am fascinated by The Golf Channel’s coverage of The Open at Royal Liverpool.
That’s three days, 14 hours per day, of nothing but press conferences, talking heads and video of a practice round or two.
But no golf.
When the tournament begins on Thursday — at 4am ET, mind you — ESPN has the honors of showing actual rounds of golf.
Sucks to be the baby of the (cable) family, am I right?
